High School Confirmation
Registration for 2025-2026 Confirmation has started. Gatherings begins September 7, 2025 Youth Confirmation Year 1:
We will have an informational meeting August 23, 2025 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Church. Confirmandi and their parents need to attend
The meeting will introduce the Assumption Church Confirmation Process to the parish and answer any questions from those attending
Assumption invites all high school students to join us for two years of prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth leading to Confirmation. The program includes bi-weekly thematic meetings with prayer and discussion, a retreat, and a service project
Welcome to Confirmation Preparation for teens at Assumption!
We prepare teens for Confirmation in accordance with Canon Law, guidelines established by the Diocese of Oakland in 2010 (reaffirmed in 2015), and our parish Catholic traditions. Teens who would like to prepare for Confirmation at Assumption participate in an intensive preparation completed in one year.
Our program is a 2 year preparation program to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and meets once a week on Sunday’s during the months of September-May. Parent /Candidate informational meeting August 23,2025 6:30 to 8:30pm
REQUIREMENTS FOR CF1
1. Sunday Mass: Attend Holy Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation and volunteer as a liturgical minister (Lector, Altar Server, Ushers & Greeters, Cantor) in the Youth Sponsored Sunday Holy Masses
2. Complete at least 4 Mass Reflections a semester: Holy Mass Reflections provide an opportune moment for candidates to fully immerse themselves in the mass and ponder on the scripture readings of the day.
3. Attend Alpha Youth and Call & Gifted sessions
4. Attend Alpha Youth and Call & Gifted weekends
5. Select Confirmation Sponsor and submit Sponsor Certification for Confirmation
6. Complete at least 6 hours of community service events in Assumption Church
7. Participate in the End of Year Transition Interview

- Sacraments and Liturgy: how we celebrate,
- Moral Formation: how we live as Catholic Christians,
- Relationship with God: how we pray,
- Education for Community Life: how we live in society in response to our baptism
The fee for Confirmation is $200. 50% of tuition must be paid when you submit your registration form. Please contact the church office with any concerns over the fee.
