Parish Outreach Groups
Assumption Community Middle School Social Action Team (AYSAT)
Assumption and Bancroft middle schoolers serve a different community need each month. Some examples are a bake sale benefiting Puerto Rico; making soup for and visiting with April Showers' participants; working at the parish fundraiser to benefit the Camp Fire victims; serving breakfast and hosting bingo for 7:30AM Mass attendees; working with Friends of San Leandro Creek on creek restoration. We are exploring opportunities for serving needy families in our community next year and we welcome adult volunteers and ideas for service!

Family Ministry
Our family ministry has the goals of developing friendships, providing a Catholic foundation for our children, continuing spiritual guidance for our families, and encouraging community involvement. Events are held throughout the year and include movie nights, special events, and outreach projects. This is a great way to get to know fellow parishioners and meet new friends. Volunteers are always welcome and needed!

Jesse Tree
This outreach program benefits children during the Advent season. Parishioners have the opportunity to provide a wrapped gift of clothing or toys to children in need. Tags on the Jesse Tree represent children's gift requests, and are available to parishioners after Thanksgiving. Help is needed in coordinating the gift tags and delivering the gifts.

Rosary Makers
These volunteers faithfully create and provide beautiful rosaries to people who cannot afford them. They meet the first Tuesday of the month in the Rectory Common Room.
