A Letter From Fr. Leonard
Dear friends, neighbors and guests, Blessings to you and yours! Welcome to The Church of the Assumption parish community. As Parochial Administrator of this wonderful and vibrant parish, I wish to extend a warm, encouraging and welcoming invitation to all who wish to worship with us and for us to share our community and Catholic faith with you. Assumption, located in San Leandro, is part of the Diocese of Oakland. We are proud of our long history in this community and hope you will become a member to share in all that makes us what we are today. It is in this setting and by sharing time with this community, I believe, you will experience Christian fellowship, faith, spirituality, and a sense of belonging. Here you may well taste and see that the Lord is Good. Here, I hope, you will find a sacred space in which to pray, to worship in community, and to find comfort knowing we share Christ’s Word and Body each day.
